Tommy Overstreet achieved his greatest success in the early 70s, and gained his most significant exposure as a frequent guest on the program Hee Haw. In the early 60s, he began his songwriting career, contributing material to pop crooner Pat Boone. In the early 70s, he scored his first smash hits with Gwen (Congratulations), the title track from his debut LP, followed by 'I Don't Know You (Anymore), and his biggest hit, 'Ann (Don't Go Runnin'),' which reached number two on the charts. A series of top 10 hits followed, and he continued to chart throughout the 1970s. His legend includes 27 top 10 hits and 7 number 1 singles. Overstreet remains a popular concert draw and continues to tour today.
