Though Christian music is obviously of a devotional nature by definition, the sub-genre of praise and worship often provides artists with a chance to distill their inspirational message to its essence. On CARRIED ME: THE WORSHIP PROJECT, CCM heartthrob Jeremy Camp does just that, delivering a diverse set of powerfully moving tracks that make no bones about the strength of his faith. Throughout, Camp uses his sensitive yet manly baritone vocals to directly give God his due, often sounding like a born-again version of Nickelback's Chad Kroeger or Fuel's Brett Scallions. Production-wise, the album is a bit less effervescent than many similar efforts, managing to up the joy factor lyrically while still retaining a hard-hitting rock edge. With a top-notch set of tunes and a sound that's every bit as energetic as his "official" album, STAY, Camp shows that he can effectively offer ear-pleasing examples of his devotion on CARRIED ME.
